Add Some More Thrill And Understanding

It was always a rumor about another land in Disney World.  Villain Mountain I believe was the rumored name.  I have been going to Disney World since I was a baby.  I enjoy going on vacation there.  I have discussed with many other Disney lovers that Disney does need to add a little bit more flair to the parks.

I also see that Disney is a bit more strict with their handicapped policies.  From my understanding a handicapped person needs to go to Town Hall in Magic Kingdom to get a pass from them in order to use the handicapped entrances in the Magic Kingdom.  I know wheelchair people that have problems getting Disney to do anything because they don’t have necessary info upon going to the Guest Relations at the parks.  I would have thought that they wouldn’t give an issue to people that have shoulder braces, casts, wheelchairs, or other necessary needs.  During peak times this is pretty much thrown out the window from what I have witnessed.  They make everyone wait the same during certain times.

Disney is a great place, but they do need to think about some change.  Change is good.  Even if the executives don’t think they are… They might be.

Disney Unsafe? Not In My Eyes!

Someone I know was talking to me the other day about vacationing.  We were discussing Disney World.  He asked me about how safe Disney World really is because he had read a lot of things, and didn’t want to make the kids worry.  This was resulting from the amount of accidents that have occured over the past year or two.  I explained to him that every park has situations, and then there is also the case of ruthless people that try to get something for nothing, or by using their problems to get forward in life.

Disney has had their fair share of mishaps, but as far as I read they don’t even seem to be Disney’s fault majority of the time.  Not just in Disney, but people try to sue for their own foolishness on a normal basis.Disney is by far one of the safest parks that I will ever take my family to.  When there is an emergency Disney has their own force of security, medical, and fire personell.  I also know that they work with the area sherrif, police, and other emergency services.  If there was a bad enough situation I am sure that they have a way to get medical air evacuation too.

Disney Speakers Wanted

We have done some slight remodeling at our house, and in the process brought a little of Disney in.  We have always wanted to have a bit more Disney, but cost is a big factor.  The other day we again watched the HGTV show My Yard Goes Disney.  After seeing this show my daughter complained that I never find a way to get chosen for these types of shows.  After watching them I realized that each of them has been done in Florida.  I am sure that this is because Disney puts some serious amount of money into the projects, and they are designed in Disney.

mickey-speakerI can’t do anything major in my backyard that I can think of, but I would like to request that if anyone can find me a set of Mickey floor standing speakers for out by my swimming pool let me know.  We play music outside a lot of time during the summer, and we also like our backyard to look good for the horseshoe tournaments, and pool parties that we have.  I would also get a second pair for use inside my house in the living room, or downstairs in the theater room.

Disney World Apps Are Springing Up Everywhere

Having an Android phone I found out that the keyword Disney returns a lot of results on the Android Market.  I also found out from other people that the same stands true for IPhones.  The IPhones seem to get a few things more than others like apps designed specifically by Disney for use in the parks.  Androids aren’t special enough I guess.

When you look at Blackberry phones there aren’t many apps as of yet, but being the Blackberry is making some bold moves they will probably get a few more apps in the future.  I had a Blackberry on Sprint many years ago.  I found that the Blackberry was not an all around phone.  It was more for the business person.  When you are in Disney next look for Blackberry cases on peoples belts.  It appears that the Blackberry market is slowly converting to Androids, and IPhones.

Advertising Has Gone A New Route

Have you ever watched a TV show, and noticed how many times they show a specific item?  Well, it is coming more noticeable that the TV show writers are finding ways to advertise products without even going to commercial.  Disney has gotten to be a master at this.  They always seem to find ways to plug the theme parks, vacations, and cruises into almost anything that they do.  One of these days Disney will figure a way to get rid of commercials all together with.  I say this because they seem to be ahead of everyone when it comes to doing things.

I would have never noticed the extent of the advertising if it wasn’t for my wife.  The other day she was watching a soap and the cast was talking about headaches.  The next thing you know they are telling about it, and zooming into the bottle.  My wife said that she has even seen one for getting rid of blackheads on nose positioned into a TV.  I am sure that this is a way to make a company happy because they not only got their commercials on TV, but now they are impacting people without forcing them to watch commercials.  We all know that commercials have gone by way of the wind since DirecTV got the dvr, and the other companies got TiVo, etc.…
