DisneyLand Vacation

Disneyland really is a magical place. My husband and I took our kids there last Saturday for my youngest’s sixth birthday. We wanted to get there when the park opened, so we left our house at six AM, making sure to turn on our home security system before we locked up and got into the car. home security in California is something we’re really aware of. The kids were so excited they couldn’t stop talking about what they were going to see for the entire trip there.

When we got there the gates were opened, and people were crowded along the length of Main Street. There were Disneyland employees keeping us from entering the rest of the park until they officially opened. Ben, the birthday boy, decided that the first thing we should do is ride the Matterhorn. As soon as the park was opened we went straight there and were first in line.

I think it was a magical day for Ben and the rest of the family as well. The kids got to meet various Disney characters; Ben was particularly excited to meet Goofy, his favorite, and his sister Sara met her hero, Belle. By eight PM my husband and I were running out of energy, but the kids still wanted to see more. They were really sagging by nine though and slept through the entire drive home. It was a day none of us will soon forget.

Talking Mickey Mouse? Never You Say!

I was just perusing the WWW and ran into a article

Some lucky Disneyland park guests experienced a very special meet and greet with Mickey Mouse this week.
Mickey, who usually saves his voice for shows and parades, talked with guests and interacted with them in never-before-seen ways! This was part of a process we call “playtesting” as it gives us a chance to develop new concepts with our guests long before they end up in the Parks. “We’re always looking for innovative ways to let guests interact with our beloved characters,” says Disney Imagineer and head of Advanced Development Scott Trowbridge. “And we have many more surprises up our sleeves.”

New Things Coming To DisneyLand

I just found a video among some of my favorite video authors.  I wanted to share it with you so that you can see what is “Planned.”  While planned is a great word for Disney, I would like to see these things get done.  I would go to DisneyLand to see everything that they are doing, and have done over the past few years.

Motorcycle Crashes & Carelessness

I have seen some crazy things in my life, but when I saw a bunch of motorcyclers disregard safety, and the law by driving between cars I now know that I have seen it all.  This isn’t the first time that I have seen this, and probably won’t be the last.

I have been to California, and I know that traffic jams there are at a fast pace of @60-70mph.  I am sure that some Pleasanton motorcycle accident attorney has had many cases dealing with brainless drivers.  If I recall correct there was even a story about someone travelling to DisneyLand, and hitting a motorcyclist because they were driving foolishly.  Thinking about that I must say that there have probably been multiple articles with the same context.  Maybe the people in Disney could put in a Virtual Reality ride that could really educate the drivers of the world.

I would love to go back to DisneyLand, but knowing how the people drive I would never be able to allow my wife to drive in California.
