Cruising Other Than Disney

We have taken 4 cruises in the past 3 years. We have been to the Bahamas, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Key West, and Castaway Cay. We love the Disney cruises, but cost has made us evaluate our next venture. We like the Caribbean cruises so far, and I hope to continue them.

We have looked at Carnival Cruises a few times, and found their prices to be reasonable. The experience will not be the same for us being Disney people, but the change will be good for us as a family.

I think the 7 day Western Caribbean will be the one that I hint to the wife about. That cruise is onboard several of the Carnival fleet.

My ideal vacation would be to board the ship in the morning. Followed by lunch dining… actually a hearty buffet. During the cruise I would love to see as many places possible. Experiencing a excursion that is included with the cruise would be a bonus to me.

Dining would need to be at my pace, and not on a specific schedule. Activities are a must. I would want as many activities as possible for my family, and I. For my daughter I would like to have some sort of included service that would “Watch / Supervise” her in case the wife and I wanted to experience some of the adult portions of the cruise.

Carnival… Take me away.
