Disney World has added something that I feel is very helpful to all those people that vacation there. When a guest checked in previously they were given their room cards, and told they could call to find out if their room was ready, and what the room number was. This call was normally handled by the maid service. The room not being ready is generally because someone arrived earlier than check-in, or maid service didn’t get to clean the room as of yet, or needed some maintenance.
Disney has once again made it easier. They have implemented a system to notify guests by text, or automated message that their room is ready.
The system is up, and running in Disney World, and expected to be in operation in DisneyLand later this summer.
