Friends Leaving Their Job At Disney

I just got a call from a long time friend, and she was telling me that she was going to be leaving her job at Disney.  She was telling me that she is worried that she might be cut because of the economic issues that are going on, and jobs are continually in jeopardy.  I didn’t understand that being Disney World is probably one of the biggest vacation destinations that you could go to.  She explained that the tourism rates have been low, thus causing some employers in Florida to have to tighten their belts.

I know she was there for quite some time, but I guess that if she leaves on good terms she can always go back if she wants.  She told me that she was going to move to the Carolinas.  I asked why, and I was told that everything is a bit cheaper there, and on top of that the North Carolina health insurance, auto insurance, and most insurances are very reasonible.  I thought of moving to the Carolinas at one point in time, but realized that I didn’t want to move my family, or my business.

This will make 2 friends that have left their job at Disney.  Others I know have left Florida in general, but leaving Disney is the amazing thing.

Wife Wants Disney World Walking Trails

Today the wife has hit me with the thoughts of walking some of the trails in Disney World while we are there in late March / early April.  I asked her if she had a lapse of thoughts because the amount of walking that we do in the parks is enough to make me weak at the knees.  She told me that irregardless of vacationing she needs to keep up her daily routine no matter what.  I told her I would do some research, and find the info she needed.

I told her that the one that I liked most would be the walk in Fort Wilderness.  Why is that you ask… Well, I can easily rent a golf cart, and pace behind her in case she needs to stop, or decides to stop.  Granted I can’t take the cart to all of the walking trail, but a good portion of it.  The path leads from the beginning of Ft. Wilderness, and goes all the way to the Wilderness Lodge.

She seems to like this idea, and also I can stop off at the arcades, eat a nice meal at Trails End, or even just sit down, and take a break.  She said she is going to give this trail a try, and she is also now doing her own digging into other trails to see if there are any others that might suit her better.  For me I will just keep doing what I am doing, and if I really need some weight loss maybe I will just consult with some xenadrine reviews.

Fitness Centers In Disney World

Just looking at that picture is making me break a sweat!

Today when I came home my wife hit me with some questions that she needed answered for our upcoming trip to Disney World.  She wanted to know if there was any restrictions on use of the fitness centers at the Disney resorts.  She also wanted to know if there were saunas at any of the resorts.  I gave her the answers, and for the sauna one I had to do a bit of research for her, as I am not a big “Fitness” person.  I also told her that if she isn’t going to be comfortable exercising with other people that she might as well figure something else out.

I told her that I would be more than happy to make any reservations for her, but I would not be going to any fitness centers while I am on vacation.  If I wanted to do anything to help my physique, then I would try to find the best muscle supplement that I could, and along with the walking I do while there in Disney I would be fine.

Below you will find the fitness center information that I found for her.

Disney Admission News

I just read a small notice on a few websites that I visit from time to time, and it appears that there may be a “Domestic Park Pass” offered by Disney.  This pass will be good for unlimited admission at either the Walt Disney World Resort, or DisneyLand Resort.  The pass will possibly include admission to Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, and DisneyQuest.

The price for a Premium Annual Pass to Disney World is @$500, and a DisneyLand Premium Pass is @$450.  I would hope that if they do this that the price will be fair, as not that many people can afford to go from coast to coast, and visit both resorts.

What do you think would be a fair pricing for this?

Interesting Disney Family Site

We were looking through the internet for sites that might have information that would help us with parenting, and things like that when we found a Disney site called Disney Family Parenting.  They have a lot of information about almost anything like bones, etiquette, prenatal vitamins, organs, tattoos, and much more.

I wish we had a site like this when we were just starting as parents.  The information looks good, and Disney doesn’t allow just anything to go on their branded sites.
