Disney Weddings Are Out Of The Question

I always wanted to get remarried to my wife.  I also always wanted to have the ceremony in Walt Disney World.  Many people are fortunate enough to be able to have their wedding at the Disney resort in Florida.  With all of the money that it would cost we decided to forget that dream until I hit the lottery.  (BTW… I don’t play the lottery.) After we started the calculations we came to the grim reality that with the amount of people that you must pay for, and the other requirements that there was no possible way. I am even more happy now being that the Grand Floridian has construction going on. I am sure that the new DVC section will be an eyesore for the Wedding Pavilion.

I was just reading one of the Official Disney blogs and saw this video of a proposal. Now all they need to do is save a lot of money, get the bridal shower invitations sent out, and get to work on the rest of the necessary planning.

Mars Needs Moms Bluray Cover

Recently we were given the opportunity to check out the Bluray/DVD combo package of Mars Needs Moms.  We watched the movie as a family, and we absolutely loved it.  This movie can help teach a valuable lesson about love.  There is adventure, and also humor incorporated in the movie.

Short Synopsis…  (I don’t want to ruin the story so this is very brief…)

A boy named Milo is continually doing things to test his mom.  One night she is captured by aliens, and brought back to Mars.  Milo found a way to hitch onto the ship that captured his mom.  Once on Mars he did everything possible to save her from what was going to happen.

The way that animated movies have evolved is truly amazing.

I give this movie a 10 out of 10 stars.

My Daughter And Arts And Crafts

My daughter has been into many types of crafts.  Many of her crafting projects started a few years back when we went to Disney.  Because we didn’t go into parks each, and every day she would hang out at the room, or at the activity center of our resort doing crafts.  For a very small amount of money she could have fun, and do something productive.  For non-members there is a slightly different pricing system, but it is still reasonable.  When we went to Hilton Head she also got involved with the crafts there.  She enjoyed it a lot.

She has been making her own types of bead jewelry for a little while now.  I have been trying to tell her to be creative like her cousin.  Her cousin made jewelry out of soda can tabs.  She made a few dollars.  This my daughter liked.  She is branching into things similar to the Beadaholique jewelry beads.  She has been trying to find a good source for Disney related ones, but has yet to find them.

Any suggestions?

Disney Should Protect Themself

Over the years there have been a few fatal accidents at the Disney World Resort in Florida.  Only after lawsuits were brought about did anyone actually find out that quite a few, if not all of the victims were not exactly in perfect health.  Maybe Disney needs to think up a way to require people to have something on file that shows their health condition.  I know… This would be impossible to enforce, and people would probably just not go to the parks.

I know that this sounds a bit over the edge, but at the same time too many people are trying to sue someone.  It isn’t just Disney.  Other large companies have been sued by shrewd people.  After I read through quite a few of the reports they found ekgs that showed previous issues existed.

What do you think about the lovely people that are out to hurt whomever they must in order to try and make a buck?

LG Promotes Their TV With Pirates

I loved watching the new Pirates movie.  I have been on the fence about getting a 3D tv.  I can’t afford one right this minute, but if any of the tvs in the house die I will need to get another tv.  I happened to see a commercial for LG lcd display that started with a clip from the Pirates movie.

I don’t know if I am ready for 3D as I am not totally sure if 3D is really ready for me.  I am someone that likes the movie theater experience, but I haven’t seen any tvs that have the same.

What is your input on this topic?
