Passholders & Volunteering… What’s That?

Here is something interesting for those that want to get a little more for volunteering.  This was originally posted in the Examiner.

Walt Disney World passholders who volunteer their time in response to Disney’s 2010 “Give A Day, Get A Disney Day” promotion will be rewarded with their choice of a special FASTPASS card, a collectible Ear Hat figurine with exclusive Disney pins, or the chance to donate a one-day ticket to a Disney theme park to a non-profit organization.

Disney’s “Give A Day, Get A Disney Day” promotion will give a one-day Disney World or Disneyland ticket to one million guests who register with the promotion Web site and donate their time to approved organizations in their local communities.

Since Disney World passholders do not need the free ticket, they are eligible for different rewards. Passholders who choose the special FASTPASS card (good for the passholder and up to five additional members of his or her party) can take advantage of limited wait times on select rides and attractions at the Disney World theme park of their choice.

Pin traders will enjoy the exclusive pins available on the Ear Hat figurine. And passholders who wish to make a Disney dream come true for those who might not otherwise be able to attend a Disney World theme park can donate their free ticket to a non-profit organization designated by Disney Parks.

Disney’s “Give A Day, Get A Disney Day” promotion starts January 1, 2010. In the meantime, those interested in volunteering their time can register for special email alerts on the official Disney Web site.
