To Dream Or Not To Dream

Tonight we were sitting around talking about the cruise we are taking in 2011.  My little brother made his reservations, and is going with us on our “Back To Back” Disney Dream cruise.  We were poking around Youtube looking at various podcasts that Disney put out on the cruise, and he happened to see a video about another cruise that looked real good.  Well, I told him to go on and price out that cruise.  I like Disney cruises, and haven’t taken any other competitors cruises at this point in time.  He came to me, and told me that a 7 day cruise on this boat was cheaper.  The biggest difference would be that I would be on a casino cruise, and that it wouldn’t be Disney.  Castaway Cay is another great reason to take a Disney cruise.  Nassau isn’t exactly one of the best ports of call in my book compared to the ports I did visit during our 7 Night Western Caribbean Disney cruise.I don’t need a gmat prep course, or any accounting degree to understand that price means everything, but don’t try to take me from my “Dream.”

He joked that he would cancel the Disney cruises, and book that one.  I joked back that he wouldn’t have a “Virtual Porthole”, or Mickey Mouse.  He told me that he was only busting chops, and that he would be going on the Disney one.

Having been on two Disney cruises I enjoyed, I can state that I paid fullboat even before factoring in my view. It is not ALL about the mouse. Economics must factor in always. The cruiseline is not an American company and does not have to abide with U.S. laws incidentally. The government has been investigating handicap issues.
